AES-256-GCM encryption in your browser. Your credit-report data never leaves your browser.
A credit dispute app you run in your own browser
DisputeValet is a browser-based credit report dispute software and dispute app — your credit-report data is AES-256-GCM encrypted in your browser and never leaves it. Operate it yourself: import your report, flag inaccurate items, and generate FCRA-aligned dispute letters. No account manager and no service fees — just the software, from $24.99/month, cancel anytime.
The Fair Credit Reporting Act gives you the right to dispute information on your credit report that is inaccurate, incomplete or can't be verified, and to do it yourself at no charge. What makes it hard is the paperwork: the right letter for each situation, a separate copy for each bureau, and keeping track of who replied and when. DisputeValet handles that paperwork so you can focus on the items that matter.

How it works
From your credit report to a letter in the mail, then every response tracked in one place. Training mode lets you practise the whole process on sample data first.
Step 1
Enter your credit report
Add the accounts, inquiries and public records from your Equifax, Experian and TransUnion reports — you can get all three free at AnnualCreditReport.com. Choose which bureaus each report covers, and everything you type is encrypted in your browser before it is saved.

Step 2
Flag the items you believe are inaccurate
Tick the accounts, inquiries or records you want to dispute and give a reason: a balance that's wrong, a late payment you made on time, an account that isn't yours. Each flagged item stays tied to the bureau that reports it, so nothing goes to the wrong place.

Step 3
Generate a letter for each bureau
Pick a template and DisputeValet fills in your details, the bureau's mailing address and the disputed items, producing one letter per bureau. Adjust any wording in the built-in editor, then print and mail it — certified mail with a return receipt gives you a record of delivery.

Step 4
Track every response
Each dispute moves across a status board from draft to sent, pending and resolved. Under FCRA §611 a bureau generally has 30 days to investigate (up to 45 in some cases), and DisputeValet works out those deadlines so you know when a follow-up is due.

What you can dispute
Templates cover the situations people most often find on their reports. Each card links to a free guide explaining the letter and when to use it.
Late payments
Payments reported late that were made on time, or reported with the wrong date.
Collection accounts
Ask a collector to validate a debt before you dispute it with the bureaus.
Charge-offs
Wrong balances, dates or statuses on accounts reported as charged off.
Hard inquiries
Inquiries from applications you didn't make or didn't authorize.
Medical collections
Medical debts reported in error or with the wrong amount.
Accounts that are not yours
Mixed files, where another person's accounts appear on your report.
Re-aged debts
Old debts reported with a newer date that keeps them on your report longer.
Verification follow-ups
Ask a bureau how it verified an item it kept after your dispute.
Identity theft (Advanced)
Request a block on fraudulent items under FCRA §605B.
Standard includes letters under FCRA §609, §611 and §623. Advanced adds §605B identity theft, Metro 2 and bankruptcy letters.
Your credit report stays on your device
Most dispute services ask you to upload your credit reports to their servers. DisputeValet works the other way round: the report details you enter are encrypted with AES-256-GCM and stored in your own browser, and that data is never sent to our servers. Your account and subscription are handled by our sign-in and billing providers; your credit report data is not.
Because the data lives in your browser, you choose where it goes. Save an encrypted backup file whenever you like, and restore it to move your work to another computer.
- AES-256-GCM encryption before anything is saved
- No credit report uploads, no shared database of reports
- Encrypted backup and restore under your control
